Campaign Platform
I’m focused on 6 priorities:

Safe Streets & Parks
Our kids and neighbors should be able to walk on sidewalks, bike to school, and cross the street without fear for their safety.
Expedite approval of stop sign and stoplight requests from neighbors.
Increase Traffic Enforcement to reduce speeding and reckless driving, especially on Fletcher, Washington, and Chase.
Improve road design to reduce collisions and tragic outcomes.
Activate parks with more community events and programs.
Affordability
Due to President Trump’s tariffs and war with Iran, costs are soaring on everything from groceries to clothes. I would work to reduce the cost of living for residents.
Bring in more businesses to our local communities so we can buy quality, affordable groceries and other products near home.
Support the development of more housing to reduce the cost of home purchases and rent.
Bring back Hauntfest and America on Main Street that offer free or affordable entertainment for families.
Accountability & Transparency
We need fresh leadership on the Council that’s accountable to the voters, so I support:
Introduce Term Limits for Councilmembers and Mayor. We’re the only nearby city without them.
Get rid of “big money” in local politics: Lower the city’s current $10,000 contribution limit.
Create an Ethics & Audit Commission to ensure transparency in public meetings, truth in officials’ disclosures, and fairness in city contracting and real estate deals.
Homelessness
The City’s approach has not been working to solve this problem. We need new, innovative solutions and better collaboration with neighboring cities, the county, and the state.
Address root causes: rising housing costs that drive people to the streets and mental health and substance use issues that often keep them there.
Enter into agreements with Caltrans to clear and clean up underpasses and exit ramps.
Use state grants to fund these programs. The Council recently rejected a $5 million grant; I would support taking that free money.
Economic Development
To support lively, vibrant communities, we need to incentivize more shops, restaurants, and bars to key areas, like downtown, West Main Street, and Fletcher Parkway.
Incentivize businesses and storefronts in Downtown, on West Main Street, and along Fletcher Parkway.
Grow the Gillespie Field area as a jobs center for commercial and logistics businesses.
Fostering new development at Parkway Plaza is important, but the City should not buy Parkway Plaza. The City can and should create a good environment to open businesses there, but it’s role of the private sector to run those enterprises.
Local Quality of Life
The current Council majority is focused on national politics and their next run for office. I’ll focus on the issues of our community—safety, affordability, homelessness—and not on the political games, like lawsuits in Sacramento and cozying up to the White House.
Reduce helicopter noise from Gillespie Field air traffic and from law enforcement.
Repeal the MAGA policy that directs our police to collaborate with President Trump’s immigration enforcement. Redirect the focus to community policing.
